Chinese Traditional Wisdom Management Course (中華智慧管理學) - Lecture 1

 The new course provided by Prof. Pang’s (彭泓基教授) named “Chinese Traditional Wisdom Management” (中華智慧管理學) and the first lecture was held on 11^th Apr 2026. The course content showed as follows (In Chinese): “關於新課程的內容，我們還有許多中華智慧尚未分享，包括：術數的紫微斗數、占星術、奇門遁甲等。國學則有諸子百家如法家、兵家、縱橫家、墨家等，儒釋道則要談王陽明、孔孟、荀子、莊子、老子深入探討、王陽明、宋明理學。歷史則如歷代政治得失等。真正的學問要貫通中西文化與思潮，則需要研究西方文史哲。此外，健康養生極為重要，我也想把氣功與養生之道跟大家分享，使你們成為道術並重、文武全才的現代智者，面對如今紛亂世情的挑戰！” Minda and I took a photo with Prof. Pang for memory.

In the beginning, Prof. Pang added extra hour for review the I Ching and Divination. (易經與術數).

Eight Characters(八字命理的觀人術) were reviewed again.

After the review, Minda and I took a photo with Master Andy Law for memory. The first lecture named “Military Wisdom and the Way of Competition” (兵家智慧與競爭之道).

Prof. Pang introduced the content of lecture 1 that included many different Chinese military wisdoms.

He first explained what is military (兵) and its important for the country.

And then he introduced some key concepts from “The Art of War” (孫子兵法) such as Invincibility lies in oneself; the possibility of victory lies in the enemy (不可勝在己, 可勝在敵).

Another military book mentioned “Listen to public opinion, and then make your own decision”. 

After that Prof. Pang stated some basic elements that determine the outcome of a war included (1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth; (4) The Commander; (5) Method and Discipline (道，天，地，將，法).

He also mentioned different military books concepts.

There are seven famous Chinese military books.

And he said information is very important. He introduced a company named MizarVision (覓熵科技) and said the word of company name “Entropy” (熵) means degree of randomness.

Finally, he concluded the moral is very important and the overall war decision framework was proposed.

Prof. Pang explained the hold fist salute (抱拳禮) that fist (拳) indicates military (武) and palm (掌) indicates arts (文). The arts control the military. A thumb inside the palm gesture represents humility.

Lastly, he concluded all military strategies in one diagram named “The formation pattern of military strategy” (兵家之策略形成模式).

After the lecture, I Ching classmate (new and old) had lunch together. Since Minda and I missed in this time, we asked Kinsen to take photo for sharing.
