CityU Eminence Society (CES) arranged a visit to CityU
(Dongguan) on 17th May 2025. We arrived at City University of Hong
Kong as the meeting point and started at 8:30am.
We took a group photo on the tour bus before the
journey started.
We arrived the CityU (Dongguan).
Minda and I took a photo in front of the University
Administration Building.
Dr. YC Chau and Dr. Luk Chi Fai were also joined this
trip.
In the beginning, Ms. Natalia Seng (Deputy Chairman,
CES) gave welcome remark.
Afterwards, the Secretary of CityU (Dongguan) introduced the background and environment of the campus.
Then we took a group photo.
I met EngD cohort Dr. Wing Hong SZETO and we took a
photo in front of library.
And then we visited the student accommodation.
We visited boys’ dorms. The notice stated girls are
not allowed to enter the boys’ dormitory.
The dorm was found two beds with terrace!
There is a bed on top and a table on the bottom for
studying.
Tmall campus was observed.
Recycling bins are everywhere.
And then we visited the CityU (DG) Lodge for experts.
One large living room and three bed rooms are
provided.
We also took a group photo at the photo spot.
Finally, we visited the lecture hall, which can
accommodate 318 participants.
There are large displays available for presentation
use.
Then we stayed in meeting room for sharing.

Afterwards, the representative of CityU (Dongguan)
introduced the campus and development plan as well as the vision and mission
for future development.
Education philosophy was stated.
The existing programmes are introduced. Dr. YC Chau
and I related to Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering.
Current undergraduate students share their study
experience at CityU Dongguan.
Lastly, we had lunch in student canteen.
We took a photo in the canteen.
It's quite big.
The utensil collection point to separate dishes from
food waste.
I took a photo with BCH cohort Mr. YIP Wai Yuen outside
the canteen.
Minda and I took a photo in front of the small tour
bus on campus.
The second location was Songshan Lake Science City
Exhibition Hall.
The representative introduced some background of Songshan
Lake Science City.
A short video was demonstrated.
Some achievements were showed.
3D projection video was demonstrated and it stated CityU
(Dongguan) in Songshan Lake Science City.
After that we took a tour car to visit the Songshan
Lake. Joyce and Phenoy were also on the same car.
We took a photo near Huawei European Town.

Finally, we appreciated CityU (Dongguan) staffs effort
and hospitality.
When we arrived CityUHK, Mind and I had dinner in the
faculty lounge.
