Dinner with Yau Sir (Former Principal, YLMASS)

Tonight, my classmates and I to have dinner with Mr. Yau Chi Leung (丘志良) who is the former principal of “Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (YLMASS)” (元朗商會中學). This dinner is to celebrate his retirement. We are graduated in 1988 and took a photo for memory. 

Lastly, I give my book named “Logic of Innovation” as a gift to Yau Sir. Afterward, he found that Dr. Aaron Tong who wrote preface to me is his senior classmate in HKU. The world is very small!

Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (YLMASS) 45th Anniversary Open Day

This year is my mother school “Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (YLMASS)” (元朗商會中學) 45th Anniversary and the open day held on 19^th Nov 2022. Minda and I joined the event and took a photo in front of the main entry. 

We registrated in the hall underground.

Then we went into the hall and Mr. Yau (Yau Sir) (Principal, YLMASS) gave welcome speech.

I met my classmate Mr. Emil Shet family and took a photo together.

And then Mr. Liu (Liu Sir) sing a song to all alumni.

Classmates took a photo in front of the hall.

After that I visited different classroom of my mother school and found AI Inno Lab sponsed by Microsoft!

Very good facilities!

I also went to the science lab.

Long time without visit here.

Finally, my wife and I visited the art room. The wall draw is very beautiful.

Then we took a photo inside the art room and there had some art work activities for alumni families.

Students’ works were demonstrated here.

Many people enjoyed the performance.

Before I left, I took a photo of JUPAS offer result and it looked good for junior classmates to enter into different universities.

It is very happy memorable event and Yau Sir will resign in this year.

Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (YLMASS) 40th Anniversary Banquet (元朗商會中學)

Tonight is my mother school “Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (YLMASS)” (元朗商會中學) 40^th Anniversary Banquet cum Principal Wai-Ching IP & Teachers’ Retirement Ceremony (30^th Jun 2018).  Some of my old classmates joined this banquet and enjoyed our good memory in secondary school.  Firstly, we took a photo with Mr. Yau (Yau Sir) (VP, YLMASS).

Then we took a photo with Mr. Man (Man Sir) and Mr. Liu (Liu Sir) together.

Dr Choi Yuk-lin (Under Secretary for Education, Education Bureau) was our guest and gave a keynote speech.

During the ceremony, the lion dancing show was performed.

Then all guests and teachers took a group photo.

After that different year graduates took a photo with class teacher (班主任).  We were graduates in 1988. (30 years ago!)

One of classmates shared the old photo taken in 3B class. 

Many university presidents gave congratulation message included Prof. Way Kuo (President, CityU).  Three of classmates were also CityU graduates.  

Then all participants sang a School Song.

After that we had dinner and took a group photo in the table.

At the end, we took a photo in the banner before left.

We also had second round talk and drink.  When I went home, I could meet the World Cup at 2:00am!
