Meeting with FHKI for Quality Startup

I visited Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and had a meeting with Mr. Arthur Ho (Director-General, FHKI) on 22nd Nov 2017.  Hong Kong Startup Council founded in 2016 and aims to serve as a platform to connect startups, Hong Kong entrepreneurs and investors in order to create synergies between old and new economies.

Based on the council objectives, I would like to propose establishing the Startup Alliance among Government Departments, NGO & Status Bodies, Universities’ KTOs, Private Co-working Space & Incubators, as well as, VC/Angel/Investor Group.

Another suggestion was to cross with HKQAA’s Hong Kong Registration – Start-Ups scheme in which HKSTP was strategic partner.  HKSQ and CityU would be the stakeholder group for R&D and theoretical support.

One week ago, I met Mr. Jimmy Kwok (Chairman, FHKI) in Science Park for ASTRI IUC Forum which held on 14 Nov 2017.

Hopefully, whole startup ecosystems could be integrated together and led by the Hong Kong Startup Council.
