Family Gathering for Ne Zha 2 (哪吒2) Film

In March, my mother would like to see Ne Zha 2 and we arranged family gathering for the film on 2^nd Mar 2025. We saw the film in Tuen Mun cinema. Ne Zha 2 earns HK$5.6 million on first day in Hong Kong!

Minda and I took a photo in front of the banner.

Then we took a group photo with mother.

The cinema is mini one and smaller than my expectation because I haven’t seen the film in cinema for long time.

I selfie inside for memory.

It is a very good film and achieved international level.

Lunar New Year Fair 2025 (年宵市場)

In this afternoon, Minda and I visited the Lunar New Year Fair in Victoria Park (維多利亞公園). We took a photo in the entry.

Even though we arrived early, there was still a large crowd.

2025 is the Year of the Snake, and many souvenirs feature snakes or words as products. This location operated by five universities (HKU, CUHK, HKUST, PolyU and EdU).

Some booths used "Foul Language" as their product.

A demonstration for helping people by Civil Aid Service(民安隊) was observed.

CityU Department of Management had a booth called "City Corner".

Guan Gong (關公) is the Military God of Wealth (武財神)!

Then we left the fair and took a photo in the main entry.

When we back to Sheung Shui, we also visited the smaller fair.

Many lanterns (燈籠) here!

Compared with 2011 LNY fair, the categories and innovations seem to have decreased.

Visit to Changlong, Guangzhou by High Railway

Minda and I with Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, Minda’s brothers visited by High Railway from 24^th to 25^th May 2019. It is our first time from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station (西九龍高鐵站) to go to Guangzhounan Railway Station (廣州南站) . Total time is about 45min.

The highest speed is 285km/h.

I used DiDi (滴滴出行) in WeChat to book 6 seats car and went to the Chimelong Tourist Resort.

Our hotel named “Chimelong Panda Hotel” (長隆熊貓酒店).

Visit to Tsz Shan Monastery (慈山寺)

Minda and I with Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, Minda’s brother as well as Uncle from USA visited Tsz Shan Monastery (慈山寺) on 21^st May 2019. Minda online booked for visiting to Tsz Shan Monastery (慈山寺) and it needs at least one month ago. Minda and I took a photo in front of Guanyin icon(觀音聖像).

We gathered in front of the entry of Tsz Shan Monastery. We arrived on time (booking time) and checked the booking email as well as booker’s HKID.

Then we all got the visitor pass.

A family photo took in front of Guanyin icon and temple. The temple named Universal Gate Hall (普門) in which we could write the Buddha Bible for 45 min. Universal Gate Hall is the second great hall of Monastery.

And then we went to the Guanyin icon and took a photo again.

Visit to Myanmar (緬甸) - University of Yangon (仰光大學)

Minda and I joined the trip to visit to Myanmar (緬甸) organized by Candy’s Travel Limited from 21^st to 25^th Nov 2018. The travel agency (Carmon Mok) is our friend and we always asked her for help to arrange different trip in China. The last day of Myanmar trip is free agenda. So that I arranged to visit the University of Yangon and started at 8:00am. Aaron, Pat, Minda and I took a group photo in front of the university.

We saw many local people worn traditional dress around the university. We met a happy family and they took a jumping photo in front of the university hall (Convocation Hall).

Then they took a photo with us.

The guy explained that they were Karen people (克倫族) and worn their traditional dress to celebrate with their family member for the graduation today.

The university vision was posted in the wall of the university hall. Their vision is “To create an education system that can generate a learning society capable of facing the challenges of the Knowledge Age”.

Today is the university graduation ceremony and all professors and graduates were inside the Convocation Hall.

Graduate doll, flower and graduate photo service were provided.

Before reach the university, we passed the Hlaing Campus.

After visited the university, we went back to Hotel “Grand Mercure”. Based on Grab, the cost is about $4100~$4500 Kyat one way. Return to Hotel needed $10,000 Kyat. (~$50 RMB)

During back to hotel, we passed the house of Aung San General

After return to hotel before 10:00am, we met Hong Kong Snooker Queen – Ms. Ng On-yee (吳安儀). We took a photo for memory.

Carman also took a photo with her.

We were lucky because of IBSF World Billiard and Snooker Championship 2018 was held in here from 12-18 and 19-27 Nov 2018, respective.

We had also visited the venue of championship which located in the 8/F of the Hotel.

Hotels’ General Manager – Mr. Vinoth Kumar (威諾) is very nice and explained the hotel facilities to us. We took a photo for memory. He can speak in Cantonese.

There had 7 meeting rooms from 20 to 65 people and two ball rooms. Each ball room was up to 580 people each. I found that it was suitable for ANQ or other Quality conference if held in Mynamar.
