HKSTP focus on Environmental Protection Industry

I would like to share an article published in “e-zone” PC magazine which was issued on 11th Feb 2010. The article introduced Hong Kong Science Park’s strategy on environmental protection industry in its phase III development. Reducing carbon is the global trend for responding to Global Warming.

CEO of HKSTP said it is a long term investment on R&D and high-technology industry. The coming focus will be on biotechnology and environmental protection technology.

In order to attract investment, “Angel Investment” and “Venture Capital” funds are offered to different companies in Science Park.

The photo showed MyCar (Electric Car developed by PolyU) placed in Science Park during exhibition.

Hong Kong Science Park Solar Energy Technology Support Centre and DuPont Apollo Global Thin Film Photovoltaic R&D Centre worked for the first major technology co-operation project to establish a solar energy research and industrial platform in collaboration under the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Circle”. In future, Science Park planned to create supply chain industries for Environmental Protection.
