Advanced Class for I Ching (易經高班) – Lecture 5

Prof. Peng’s (彭泓基教授) advanced class for I Ching (易經高班) Lecture 5 was held on 2^nd Dec 2023. Since previous venue was full booked, we combined the lecture and lunch together in the restaurant. Minda and I took a photo before the lecture start.

This lecture discussed the summary of different divination (卜卦) methods.

Firstly, Prof. Peng introduced one card divination and we used I Ching card and draw one card for foretelling. Be sincere when drawing card. You must focus on your question and define it clearly.

We used two set of I Ching cards for divination. 

And then Prof. Peng introduced two cards method and three cards method. For two cards method, the first card is current situation and the second card is the result. For three cards method, the first card means past for verification, the second card is current situation that also for verification, and finally the third card is the result in future.

After that Prof. Peng introduced the Heptagram Array (七芒星陣) method. The middle row is most important that from current (2) to coming development (3) and then result (5). The current (2), past (1) and external environment (6) are for verification. The top one is suggestion (4).

Continuously, he introduced Ten Card Method for two teams against each other. It may use for Lawsuit (官司), Litigation (訴訟), Hostile (敵對) and Decisive victory (決勝負).

Finally, Prof. Peng introduced the Yin Yang Card Array (陰陽牌陣) method that also solve the contradiction problem.

After the lecture, classmates tried to use d the Heptagram Array (七芒星陣) method to solve their questions and problems.

Prof. Peng’s explanation and suggestion for the meaning of results after divinations and we feel that it is very true for their situations and giving very good suggestions. 

We enjoyed the lunch and next lecture is the last. Since the venue is limited, I booked CityU restaurant for the last lecture and lunch.
