CityU Department of Material Science and Engineering – Experience Sharing

I am honor to be invited by Prof. Jonathan C. Y. CHUNG (Department of Materials Science and Engineering) during CityU Alumni Reunion Gala 2023 to give experience sharing talk to students in BEng Materials Science and Engineering (BENGEGUMASE) on 1^st Dec 2023. My topic named “Connecting the Dots – From Student to Adjunct Professor”.

The students were year 3 and 4. Firstly, I quoted Steve Job’s Stanford Commencement Address (2005) that “You can't connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” Then I shared my experience in four dimensions including Academia, Business, Community and Government. Some professional bodies in quality field were introduced such as HKSQ, ASQ, IAQ, ANQ, etc.

After sharing to students, I had dinner with my wife in Tai Wo.
