COMP Capstone Project Presentation 2026

It is my first time to lead capstone projects in Department of Computing. I connected different industries to develop company-based capstone projects. The presentation of capstone projects by my students were held on 21^st and 22^nd Apr 2026 in COMP laboratory. In here, I thanks to the following industrial advisors who supported my students including LKH1: Mr. Brian Fung (CEO, HKGX) and Kathy Fu (Laboratory Manager, HKPMAC); LKH2: Mr. Felix Chan (Managing Director, Material Tech Co. Ltd.) & Mr. Herman Tang (Assistant General Manager, Material Tech Co. Ltd.); LKH3: Dr. Xueping Chen (co-founder and CTO of Vitargent Biotechnology Co., Ltd.); LKH4: Mr. Peter Suen (Pharmacist & Owner, ACP ActiveCareGroup) and LKH5: Matthew Tsui (Managing Director, App2One Limited). 

LKH1 project named “Development of Laboratory Information System (LIMS) for operation performance enhancement”. Yip Fu Wing Yung, Chan Hong San, Wun Chiu presented their project and demonstrate the LIMS using Odoo.

LKH2 project entitled “Robot Arm Control System for Concrete Cube Handing”. Ting Kam Kei, Ng Ming Hei, XU lok Hei and Mak Ka Chun demonstrated their simulation, image recognition and system integration approach during the time of presentation.

LKH3 project was “AI-Powered System to Automate the Detection of Developmental Defects in Zebrafish Embryos” Au Yeung Tsz Pui developed program and demonstrated its ability to identify and count the number of health or death embryos, as well as, update the training through human-in-the-loop design.

LKH4 project named “AI-powered System to Automate Drug Inspection and Packaging Process for Elderly Residents”. Yeung Chun San demonstrated how to enhance the accuracy for identify and count the drug in the packaging box.

LKH5 project entitled “Web-Based STEM Education Platform for Extension Innovation Method (METS). Cheong Long Yin, Wong Tsz Wang and Yeung Chun Sing demonstrated their platform and presented to students in two classes of COMP1004 for collecting feedback. It is one of my capstone project teams that could valid their program by end users.
