COMP Capstone Seminar Workshop – Proposal Stage

Dr. Walter Fung arranged an event named “Capstone Seminar Workshop” to assist final year student to prepare their capstone project and shared career or academic planning beyond graduation. It is very useful and meaningful to guide student how to prepare final year project systematically. The following group photo we took at the end of the event for memory.

I took a photo with Raymond. So many students joined the seminar!

Firstly, Dr. Walter Fung introduced COMP Best Project Award Competition 2026 and encouraged students to join.

Then he introduced the structure and format requirement of proposal and reports for capstone project.

And then Walter shared his experience on innovation and control. He suggested to innovation first and then control.

Finally, he summarized the planning beyond graduation in one diagram.

Dr. Mohammed Aquil Mirza was the second speaker and he shared his experience to encourage students publishing their works.

He showed some of his students joined the conference and published their works in conference paper.

Lastly, Dr. Walter Fung gave closing remark.

At the end, we took a group photo and Walter showed off his cute Crocodile T-shirt.
