Visit to MonoTx for starting COMP Student’s Capstone Project 2026

I lead my student Mr. KO Ka Ming, Kenny to visit the Mononuclear Therapeutics Ltd. (MonoTx) on 3^rd Sep 2026. It is a new capstone project named “AI-Powered Automated Identification and Counting of Immunostaining Corneal Cells for Research and Product Development”. We would like to design and build a custom AI tool to automate the accurate identification and quantification of immunostaining corneal cells. We appreciated Dr. Wendy Cheng (COO, MonoTx) who support the student project in Department of Computing, PolyU. 

Then Dr. Wendy Cheng and Ms. Mirinda Choi introduced their project operation to us.

After that we visited MonoTx laboratory. 

Finally, we took a photo with Mirinda for memory.

After the visit, Kenny and I went back to PolyU and had lunch together.

Many thanks for MonoTx gave this opportunity to PolyU COMP student to employ his computer science knowledge into biotechnology field.
