IAQ General Meeting in Porto, Portugal 2023

The IAQ General Meeting was held on 8^th Nov 2023 in Porto, Portugal. In the beginning, Acn. Lars Sörqvist (President, IAQ) gave welcoming remark and Japan representative for Acn. Shinichi Sasaki (Chair, IAQ) gave opening speech. 

Then we were self-introduction and I captured a group photo online. There are ~20 members participated online.

And then Lars invited all onsite participants for self-introduction.

After that Acn. Lars Sörqvist (President, IAQ) presented IAQ member pin to Dr. Dag Kroslid (CEO, NorDan Group).

Catherine Chan presented Communication Committee Report and committee approach.

The committee would like to employ social media like LinkedIn to communicate with members.

And then Grace Brannan presented Publication Committee Report and the committee suggested to provide all necessary editorial, production, printing promoting, marketing, etc. for the publication such as book and display the IAQ logo.

After that Raul Molteni reported Think Tanks events.

Finally, Dr. Dag Kroslid presented his quality journal for IAQ members and entitled “Quality Management in times of Sustainability”.

He first reviewed the sustainability and quality management over the last 35 years.

Then he introduced how NorDan employed US Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) into four focus areas and they were local values, people, resource effectiveness, as well as, implementation & partnerships.

During Q&A, many members shared their views such as how to measure them.

I also shared Hong Kong students concern on SDGs and raised question that different company in different countries had different SDGs focused.

Lastly, Dr. Dag Kroslid was IAQ award winner and took a photo for memory.
