It is our honor to invite Mr. Keith
Li (Co-founder and CEO, Innopage Limited) to give a talk for the 1st
year students in the course CMS1000 - Computer and Mathematical Sciences
Professionals in Society under Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences
(FCMS) on 5th Oct 2026. The objectives of CMS1000 are to introduce
students to variety of professions, enthuse students about their major study
and engage students in desirable forms of university learning. It is the 5th
lecture and his topic named “Introduction to AI Coding –
From Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering”. In the beginning, I took a selfie
with Mr. Keith Li. We met at the Cyber Security Summit last year.
In the beginning, Mr. Keith Li gave self-introduction
about his background including AI and entrepreneur in industries and education.
His companies got many different ICT awards.
Then he shared most updated news about AI including
Anthropic boss views.
And then Keith shared 3 radical GenAI predictions for
2027 that it is the end of manual coding, infographics and commercial posters.
He demonstrated how to do the infographic using GenAI onsite.
After that he introduced Vibe Coding that is a
software development approach where you use natural language prompts to
instruct an AI tool to write, run, and fix code.
He also quoted Andrej Karpathy (Co-founder, OpenAI) who
explored the shift from casual AI prompting ("vibe coding") to
structured oversight ("agentic engineering").
Mr. Keith Li showed a diagram which explained from prompting
to agentic engineering.
Finally, he introduced NotebookLM to do slides and changed
to editable PowerPoint!
Keith also compared the SEO (Search Engine
Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) where SEO helps company’s
pages rank in traditional search engine results (like Google and Bing), while
GEO helps company’s brand get cited and included inside AI-generated answers
and assistants (like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews).
Q&A session
