ANQ Congress 2023, in Phy My, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Vietnam – Technical Visit

Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) Congress 2023 was held by Vietnam Quality Association of Ho Chi Minh City (VQAH) in the Vabis International College, Phy My, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Vietnam from 17-20 Oct 2023. The congress theme was “Quality Transforms with A.I. Booming”. The ANQ Congress 2023 – Technical Visit was arranged on 20^th Oct 2023. Two visits arranged by VQAH and they were Alpha ECC - Southern Petroleum Construction Join Stock Company and Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (PM3SIP). Minda and I joined the visit to Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (PM3SIP). We all started from VABIS College and took a group photo for memory.

We took a travel bus to go to the industrial park.

We arrived Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (PM3SIP).

Minda and I took a photo in the banner.

I also took a photo with Mr. Yip Chun Yin (HKQF winner of Award Scheme for Learning Experiences 2023).

Their Deputy GM and Marketing representative introduced the industrial Park to us. Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park is private and the rental period upto 70 years.

Mr. G.E. Tan (ANQ ARE-QP committee chair and SQI) presented the ARE-QP award certificate to Mr. Kazama Toshio (Deputy General Director, PM3SIP).

Ms. Fumi Saito (Marketing Executive, PM3SIP) introduced the background of the industrial park.

PM3SIP had ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates.

After the briefing, the first area we visited was Waste Water Treatment Plant.

The Plant manager introduced the facilities and process to us.

They also demonstrated the sampling and analysis process to us.

There were some real-time monitoring parameters including COD, TSS, pH, NH4, Temp, Flow In and Flow Out (m3/h).

The second company we visited was Kraft of Asia Paperboard & Packaging Co., Ltd. They were paper recycle company.

Then we visited their production line and all visitors needed to wear safety helmet, jacket and shoes.

And then we visited different processes of the company and photos shared as follows.

Before we come back, we took a group photo for memory.

Mr. Hiroshi Matsumura (Chairman, General Director) took care with Mr. Lai Hsin-Yang (CSQ) who is 93 years old!

We also saw the raw material for recycle use.

Finally, we went back to the meeting room of PM3SIP and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (VAQH) presented the certificate of merit to general director.

Lastly, we took a group photo in front of the entry of PM3SIP.

After the technical visit, we went back to hotel from the travel bus. Then SQI and HKSQ team had lunch together in the Japan style restaurant.

Then we walked around and shopping in supermarket. In about 3 o’clock, we had tea in local restaurant to taste local food.
