HKSQ Strategy Meeting 2019

Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) annual strategy meeting 2019 cum Congratulation to Crosby Management Institute (China) 20^th anniversary on 9^th Nov 2019.  The meeting aims to review the HKSQ directions in the coming year and activities included seminar, technical visit, study mission, etc. We took a group photo for memory.

Before the meeting, I recorded a video for Mr. Freeman Young (楊鋼) (Founder & CEO, Crosby Management Institute (China) to congratulate Crosby Management Institute (China) 20th Anniversary cum International Conference for Chinese Quality would be held on 16^th Nov 2019. 

Firstly, I briefed HKSQ Strategy Meeting agenda and discussion activities.

Then I reviewed previous survey results and past activities.  Based on survey employed Kano Model in 2017, we identified three Must-be Quality (MQ) were ASQ Cert, Technical Visit and Seminar.  

And then I introduced Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and try to employ it in HKSQ.  For example, we set objective for HKSQ achieving Sustainable Development, the measurable Key Results included i) increase member number, ii) increase new training course and iii) enhance existing training course.

After that we discussed the strategy and direction.  Dr. Aaron Tong raised out our threat and suggested us better to utilize our existing resource (including exco members and corporate members). And then we focused on membership drive not only in academic (e.g. OUHK, HKU and IVE) but also in different industry (e.g. Healthcare and Construction).  For industry, we emphasized not Quality but Quality System. 

Finally, we performed the 1^st HKSQ Exco meeting and reviewed the existing activities and recorded planned coming activities. At the end, we appreciated Dr. SL Mak support for meeting in OUHK.
