Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) original drama (《錢學森》原創話劇) “Distinguished
Chinese Scientist - Qian Xuesen” was performed at Jockey Club Auditorium, Hong
Kong Polytechnic University on 25th and 26th Sep 2024. Minda
and I joined the drama on 26th Sep and took a photo in front of
banner.
Before the drama, we had quick dinner in staff canteen.
The ticket we got.
When we went to the Auditorium, I met my old classmate Prof.
Kenneth Leung (Chair Professor, CHEM Dept., CityU) and took a photo for memory.
Many students attended the drama. It is good for the new
generation to know about the great scientists who had significant contribution
to China.
We took
a photo inside the auditorium.
PolyU President and SJTU Vice President gave opening speech and took a group photo before the show.
Finally,
all the actors took their final bow.
The drama let me remember Liu Yuanzhang (劉源張) that
we met in ANQ Congress 2011 in Vietnam. At the invitation of Qian Xuesen (錢學森), Liu
Yuanzhang (劉源張) returned to China after 15
years of absence from his motherland to work in the Operations Research
Laboratory of the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and
established China's first quality management research group.

In my understanding,
Qian Xuesen (錢學森) should
also be the Father of Systems Engineering in China!
