I visited Prof. Lam
Hon-Ming (Director of the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology (The
Chinese University of Hong Kong) and Professor of the School of Life Sciences
at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)) office and State Key Laboratory
of Agrobiotechnology (CUHK) on 6th May 2019. Prof. Lam introduced his research on soybean
and I briefed the Extension Innovation Method.
We were seeking any synergy to cross-over Agrobiotechnology and
Extenics.
Prof. Lam Hon-Ming lead an international
collaborative research team completed the world’s first reference-grade wild
soybean genome which provides an important tool for soybean genetic research
internationally. It lays a solid
foundation for comparative genomic studies of legume and soybean improvement
programmes, and helps to improve the tolerance and other agronomic traits of
soybean.
Then I visited his
laboratory SKL of Agrobiotechnology and we took a photo in front of the
laboratory.
Many equipment inside the
laboratory were observed.
Prof. Lam had another laboratory named “Plant Molecular Biology and Genetics Research Laboratory”.
A very meaning seminar by

Chinese word is very
meaningful. “糧” (Grain/Food) included all means of agricultural.
