The 5th Exco Inauguration
Ceremony of CityU Eminence Society (CES), our chairman Mr. Weeky Wong (CEO
& Vice Chairman, Tai Sing Industrial Company Ltd.) enhanced the work groups and separated into following disciplines: Membership Development, Publicity,
Learning, External Affairs, Exchange Tour, University Collaborative Project and
Member Activities. Dr. YC Chau and I
were members of University Collaborative Project Work Group and held a meeting
with Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) on 22nd May 2019. We took a photo in front of KTO office.

Victor Lau (Technology Transfer Officer))
We discussed in three
directions below.
i)
Mentorship
pool: The next round recruiting mentor would be held in Jan 2020. We would like
to establish regular mechanism to recruit members of CES to share and lead
startup in CityU.
ii)
Commercialization
related Seminars: We purposed to invite entrepreneurs in CES to share their
story to both students and staff in CityU.
It suggested in Sem-A (after Sep 2019).
iii)
Arrange Visit
to understanding CityU R&D: We purposed to invite CES entrepreneurs and alumni
(e.g. who worked in important post in Hong Kong government) to visit CityU
R&D projects and CityU Shenzhen Research Institute.
After discussion, we would
be feedback to CES exco meeting on next Monday. Hopefully, CES could assist KTO to incubate
more entrepreneurs and transfer our R&D into market in near future.
