CityU Eminence Society –The 5th Exco Inauguration Ceremony & Annual Dinner 2019

The 5th Exco Inauguration Ceremony and Annual Dinner was held on 8 March 2019.  The CityU Eminence Society (CES) has established on 31 Dec 2010 and our mission is “To unite senior alumni to proactively contribute their resources, expertise and networks to help advance the University and serve the community”.  Dr. KS Chin and I arrived early to take a photo.

Then Dr. TW Liu and Mr. Dominic Lam arrived and we took a photo in front of the banner for memory.  I appreciated to Dr. Peter Ho & Dr. Raymond Leung who nominated Mr. Dominic Lam to join CityU Eminence Society (CES) and participate ceremony in their tables.

Before the ceremony, EngD cohorts and supervisors took a group photo for memory.

CES exco performed rehearsal for the inauguration ceremony.

Our new chairman Mr. Weeky Wong (CEO & Vice Chairman, Tai Sing Industrial Company Ltd.) gave a welcome speech and thanks for guests, professors and alumni. 

Council Chairman Mr. Lester G Huang gave congratulation speech especially that the UGC supports the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) to launch a UGC-funded six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme with effect from the 2019/20 academic year.

Prof. Way Kuo (President, CityU) gave welcome speech and he told us Mr. Lester G Huang had written a letter to him for supporting Veterinary School ten years ago.  Now he became our council chairman.

Mr. Weeky Wong led inauguration of the 5^th Executive Committee. Mr. Lester G Huang and Prof. Way Kuo were witness.

All Executive Committee members and guests took a group photo.

After that we enjoyed a harp (豎琴) performance.

Our table was lucky that four people got the lucky draw.  

We had a nice and happy night and hope CityU Eminence Society (CES) to contribute more and more to CityU and Alumni.
