Industrial Guest Talk to BEng(Hon) in Total Quality Engineering, CityU

Minda and I were invited by Dr. K.S. Chin (Asso. Professor, MEEM Dept, CityU and Programme Leader of BEng Total Quality Engineering) to give a talk about GMP and Hong Kong Society for Quality for the year 1 student in TQE, on 09 Nov 2010.

Dr. K.S. Chin introduced the speaker.

The first speaker was Minda Chiang and her topic entitled “Good Manufacturing Practices for Pharmaceutical Industry”. She introduced GMP in Hong Kong and its compliance. Some common problems and non-conformities in GMP execution were discussed.

During discussion session, some students asked about clinical trial practice.

Then I represented Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) to introduce how to develop quality professional through HKSQ. HKSQ mission and activities, as well as, professional qualification were briefed.

Some international activities such as Asian Networking for Quality (ANQ) congress were mentioned. Moreover, students were encouraged to join HKSQ Student Project Competition.

After the seminar, Dr. Andy Wong presented a souvenir to us.
