I was honor to invite Mr. Ryan Law (Manager, Knowledge
Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office) giving a talk named “PolyU KETO
Entrepreneurship Support” to my student in COMP 3511 & COMP 3512 under BSc in
Computer Science on 27th & 28th Mar 2025.
“COMP 3512 – Legal Aspects, Professionalism and Ethics
of Computing” is HKIE accredited course for Programmes in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering (EEE); and “COMP3511 – Legal Aspects and Ethics of
Computing” is HKIE accredited course for Programmes in Computing (COMP).
Firstly, Mr. Law briefed the PolyU Entrepreneurship
background and snapshot. Some of these unicorns were founded by our students
(e.g. EIE, ME, etc.).
After that he introduced the PolyU Entrepreneurship Development
Framework from Ideation Fund to Micro Fund to PolyUxHKSTP to Angel Fund and
then to Entrepreneurship Investment Fund (EIF), lastly to RAISE+ which is
matching fund per project.
Lastly, Mr. Ryan Law invited all students to join the
Future Challenge competition.
