2026 New Year’s Day Wudang Tai Chi Collective Training (元旦集訓)

Minda and I joined 2026 New Year’s Day Wudang Tai Chi (秘傳武當太極拳班) Collective Training (元旦集訓) on 1^st Jan 2026 in Bamboo Forest Taoist Temple (⽵林道觀). 

We (I team members) took a group photo with Master Andy Law (羅哲英).

Minda and I took a photo with Mr. Henry Wong (王廣漢師兄) in front of the Lu Zu Temple (呂祖殿).

Then I team took a group photo.

And then Mr. Law gave opening speech before training start.

Mr. Tsang (曾忠南道長) welcome all to visit Bamboo Forest Taoist Temple (⽵林道觀).

Afterwards, we started the training for foundation of fixed step single push (定步單推⼿)

The next session was guests talks. Master Andy Law introduced guests for the coming talks.

The first speaker was Taoist priest Mr. Tsang (曾忠南道長) and his talk named “Introduction to Taoist Sects” (道教派別簡介). He said the key schools are the Zhengyi (正一派) and the Quanzhen (全真派). There were 86 schools in the late Qing Dynasty. He also quoted Lu Xun (魯迅) that the root of China lies in Taoism (中國的根基在於道教).

The second speaker was Dr. Kwong Siu Kai (鄺紹佳博士 香港註冊中醫師) and his topic was “The Health Preservation Principles of the Secretly Transmitted Wudang Tai Chi from the Perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine” (從中醫角度看<秘傳武當太極拳>的養生之道). He said practice of Tai Chi had better in the morning (on or before noon).

The last speaker was Mr. Lau (劉任承 亞太貸款市場公會主席 (2019-2021)) and his topic entitled “Investment Market Trends in 2026” (2026投資市場大勢). Gold, AI related stocks and inflation should be considered.

Finally, we had lunch together for good vegetarian dishes. Since we had duties tomorrow and left early, other members would practice the fixed step single push (定步單推⼿) afterwards.
