Dr. YC Chau invited five
HKIE members who achieved the professional title of “Professorate Senior
Engineer” (正高級工程師) and “Senior Engineer” (高級工程師) to go to Shekou (蛇口) to have seafood lunch for
celebration. Ir Lam Tat Ming, Ir Cheung Wai Keung, Ir Dr. YC Chau, Ir Dr.
Vincent Fung and I took a group photo in Tin Shing Court and then took a bus. Ir
Dr. Jackson Tang arrived the Shenzhen Bay Port first to wait us.
Then we arrived the
Shekou market.
We walked around the
seafood market and seeking good seafood. Compared with HK, the prices were
found very economic!
We then bought fish,
shrimp, crab and oysters, as well as, sea snails (花螺). Very large fish costed
~RMB160 and oysters cost ~RMB10 per each.
After that YC
introduced us to Tin HK Cuisine (田記) for cooking our seafoods.
We had a very good
seafoods and only cost RMB211 per head (including seafoods and cooking fee).
After that we went to the new shopping mall named “K11”.
The view outside is very nice.
There is a cat pet service art center.
Children can play with cats that cost RMB168 per head!
And then we went to the rooftop jogging trail.
There are circular sculptures on the roof.
Finally, we went to the Sea World.
Lastly, we had coffee and tea in outside of MacDonald.
We all had a great time on our trip to
Shekou today.
