HKIE Webinar - Engineering and Feng Shui (工程與風水)

HKIE Webinar named “Engineering and Feng Shui (工程與風水)’ was held online and offline on 1^st Feb 2024. Mr. Paul Chan (文相濡 - 陳琪豐) was the guest speaker. In the beginning, he introduced Maslow’s hierarchy of needs that Engineering and Feng Shui related the first two fundamental levels – Physiological Needs and Safety & Security. 

Then he mentioned the Feng Shui can trace back to “Before 640 AD” from the ancient tomb (古墓). He also mentioned three elements and nine luck (三元九運) in Feng Shui.

And then Paul Sir introduced three talents of heaven, earth and man (天地人三才) with Yin-yang and Wu Hsing (陰陽五行).

In Feng Shui, environment condition changing included Timing (時) (e.g. 三元九運), Space (空) (e.g Environment) and Man (人) (e.g. Human life mode changing). In the past, the factors of Timing and Space can predict more accuracy. But in model world, human factor is more important that affected the accuracy of prediction.

After that Paul Sir briefed the global change through three elements and nine luck (三元九運). From 2024 to 2043 is the nine luck that named Nine Purple Fire Luck (九紫火運) that many wars would happen.

Mr. Paul Chan also introduced I Ching such as “乾 (qián)” for product life cycle. He also demonstrated some I Ching prediction for years lucky from 2009 to 2019. For 2020 to 2024, he mentioned in Master Insight (灼見名家).

Finally, Mr. Paul Chan briefed the office Feng Shui and different worse cases were mentioned.

Lastly, he employed "Book of the August Ultimate through the ages" (皇極經世書) to predict the global trend.

At the end, Mr. Paul Chan predicted Hong Kong in the nine luck that steady growth and better than previous one (eight luck).

工程和風水有時會在建築項目中交叉，它們的觀點和方法有所不同。工程更注重建築物的實用性和技術性，而風水則著重於環境的能量流動和影響人運氣的觀念。在實際應用中，有些人會將工程和風水結合起來，以期獲得更好的結果。另外，2024 年在風水學上乃「九運」之始，對各行各業有甚麼影響，以及工程師在「九運」期間該如何自處，逢凶化吉？

是次講座我們邀請了文相濡 – Paul Sir為我們講解工程與風水學如何相輔相成，以及「九運」對工程業界發展的影響。
