CityU TQE Students visit HKSTP

I was honor that Dr. KS Chin (Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, City University of Hong Kong) and his students from BEng Total Quality Engineering (BETQE) visited for Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) on 10th Nov 2014. It aims to introduce how Hong Kong Science and Technology Park implementing different quality management systems and technology support by different laboratories facilities.

Firstly, I introduced the HKSTP and the quality management system in Technology Support Centre (TSC) to students, including ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 certification, as well as, HOKLAS (ISO 17025) accreditation. After that, students visited our different laboratories such as Probe and Test Development Centre (PTDC), Reliability Laboratory (RL), Wireless Communications Test Laboratory (WCTL), IC Failure Analysis Laboratory (ICFAL), Material Analysis Laboratory (MAL) and Biotechnology Support Laboratory (BSL)
Before visit laboratories, we took a group photo in board room.

I introduced how to test 3GPP performance test of mobile and asked student to test the shell room which blocked all signals in Wireless Communications Test Laboratory (WCTL).

Then we visited Reliability Laboratory (RL) and briefed different temperature and humidity chambers as well as mechanical workshop.

In Biotech Support Laboratory (BSL), I briefed different basic biotech facilities.

After that they visited the Charles K. Kao Auditorium (Golden Egg) of HKSTP and take photo for memory.

We took photo inside Golden Egg (It has around 280 seat.).

Finally, we visited the building Green 18 which was Environmental Laboratory to test all green technology in the building.
