PolyU Info Day 2025 was held on 27th Sep 2025. Department of
Computing booth located in Core TU. I took a photo with Dr. Walter Fung, Dr.
Hong Va Leong and Dr. Hongcheng Xie in front of our booth.
In the Info Day, many visitors asked for our programmes and staff and student
helpers explained to visitors.
I had teaching the same program
named “Bachelor of Engineering in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering (BEng
ITME) 工學士 (智能製造工程學)” in CityUHK Donggang (DG) in Sep 2025. My lectures named “SYE 2066: Professional
Engineering Practice”. Before I introduced Extenics and Extension Innovation
Methodology, I took a group photo of my student with my book “Logic of
Innovation” for memory.
Prof. YC Chau led the course
and we coteach SYE 2066 in Dongguan campus.
This time I led students to
do the exercise of Extension Innovation Method and they need to present their
new product prototype in the last lecture.
After the National holiday,
Prof. YC Chau arranged a technical visit to TDK ATL Battery
Manufacturing Center.
I am happy to invited my old friend and colleague Ir.
Matthew Tsui (Managing Director, App2One Limited) to give a talk for students
in COMP 2121: e-Business on 25th Sep 2025. Ir. Matthew Tsui is also our industrial advisor for Students
Capstone Project in 2025-2026. His presentation topic entitled “Ecommerce
development beyond code”.
In the beginning, he reviewed the stock price of Alibaba
during COVID period. The significant drop of e-Commerce business was observed.
Then he introduced today’s topics including Warm-up Kahoot for misconceptions
in e-Commerce, Vibe Coding, Functional+UI/UX+Journey+Tracking, etc.
Then he started the Kahoot for students’ participation.
Ir. Matthew Tsui took a photo with winner for memory.
As programmer, three roles were introduced and they were
instrument events at each stage, log key micro & macro conversions, and enable
analytics & A/B testing.
Some key metrics including CVR, AOV, CAC and LTV were briefed.
Finally, he concluded that good backend alone isn’t
enough but UI/UX, Journey, Tracking drive growth should be considered. eCommerce
success is equal to Code plus Design plus Data!
After the seminar, I presented the appreciated
certificate to Matthew.
The 10th World Summit of Chinese Quality (第十屆全球華人品質峰會) was organized by Macau Quality Management Association (MQMA)
(澳門品質管理協會) and pre-World Alliance for Chinese Quality (pre-WACQ - 全球华人品质联盟（筹）) on 23
Sep 2025. The theme was “High-quality Construction in the Bay Area”「濠鏡質造·灣區共鑒」. Although
a typhoon was expected that afternoon, all societies still sent representatives
to participate. Unfortunately, Minda and I didn't join on-site this time.
Our chairman Dr. Jane Wong and Dr. Aaron Tong on behalf
of HKSQ to participate the summit.
One day before the summit, our vice-chairman Ms. Angela
Wong and Dr. Jane Wong arrived Macau and took a photo with Prof. Lin Chang (林暢)
(MQMA) in the venue.

(CAQ). Also
took a photo with Ms. Wang (王圣淇) (CAQ). However, Typhoon No. 3 hit that night and Ms. Angela Wong
returned to Hong Kong that same night.

In the
beginning, Prof.
Lin Chang (林暢) (Chairman, MQMA) gave an
opening speech.
Then Dr.
Duan Yonggang (段永剛) (CAQ) gave welcoming speech.
The first keynote speaker was Mr. Liu Chunxi (劉春喜) (伊利集團高級執行總裁) and
his presentation topic named “Integrating Chinese Wisdom to Create a Global Quality
Benchmark” (融匯華夏睿思，鑄就環球品質標杆).
He
mentioned three lines of quality management, including national standards,
enterprise standards, and internal control standards.
The second
keynote speaker was Mr. Lu Ruiyan (盧瑞彥) (CSQ) (中華臺北品質學會常務監事) and his topic entitled “Shaping Chinese Quality Culture
in the AI Era” (型塑AI時代的華人品質文化).
The third
keynote speaker was Dr. Aaron Tong (唐偉國) (Director, HKSQ) and his
presentation named “Subtracting Quality and Activating a New Manufacturing
Engine” (減法質量·激活製造新引擎).
After presentation,
Prof. Lin
Chang (林暢) presented the appreciated
certificate to him.
The
fourth keynote speaker was Mr. Johnson Tan Swan San (陳川昌)
(新加坡质量学院主席) and his topic presented was “Effective Integration of
Quality Assurance Practices into ISO 13485:2016 Medical Device Quality
Management Systems” (質量保證實踐在 ISO 13485:2016 醫療器械質量管理體系中的有效融合). He is full of energy!
Prof. Huang
Wei-Chun (黃偉春) (THQA)(臺灣醫療品質協會) was the fifth keynote
speaker and his presentation topic was “Using Chinese Wisdom to Create World-class
Medical Quality” (以華人智慧打造世界級醫療品質).
After that
Dr. Pao-Lin Jen (任寶玲) and Prof. Huang Wei-Chun took
a photo with the THQA flag.

Chang (林暢) (Chairman, MQMA) was the
sixth keynote speaker and his topic entitled “Extension Psychology drives High-quality
Mental Health Development” (可拓心理學驅動高品質心理健康發展).

Dr. Jane Wong (Chairman, HKSQ) introduced the coming summit in Hong Kong.

Afternoon
had two sessions that one was paper sharing and the other was contribution
results sharing. I recorded my paper with Mr. Leo Choi named “Macau's First Private
Commercial Laboratory achieves New Quality Productive Force in Accreditation
from Zero to One” (澳門首家民營商業實驗室從零到一實現認可及檢測新質生產力).

Before
the contribution results sharing session, Mr. Peter Suen and his team of ActiveCarePharmacy
Limited (ACP) (明心医疗集团) had lunch near his office.
Then he presented the topic named “Quality in Medication Management”.
Mr.
Peter Suen shared their achievement during COVID period and his team
contribution in medication management to provide high quality service.

Congratulations
to ACP achieved “Model of World Chinese Quality Culture Construction
(Organization Award)” (全球华人品质文化建設典範（组织类获奖）) that evaluated by WACQ
Awards Committee.
I was
the last speaker in the contribution results sharing session and my topic named “Cultural
Alchemy, Leading the Practice of Chinese Quality” (文化炼金、引领华人品质的实践).
Firstly,
I introduced myself in academic and business as well as key contribution in
quality management.
And then
I briefed some of my innovations such as integrating Chinese culture (e.g. Martial
Arts) and quality principles, as well as, combination of Extenics and quality
management.
My

I was
honor to be “World Chinese Quality Culture Promoter (Individual Award)” (全球华人品质文化推动者（个人奖）) that evaluated by WACQ Awards Committee. Many
thanks to Mr. GE Chen (陈敬贤) (Chairman of WACQ Awards
Committee) and Mr. Tu Jianyu (涂建宇)
(Secretary of WACQ Awards Committee) as well as all committee members.
After my presentation, we took a group photo online.
Thanks MQMA and CAQ effort to arrange this successful summit
under bad weather situation. The proceedings collected all our papers.
Despite the Typhoon Signal No. 8 being in effect at the
time, Dr. Aaron Tong still enjoyed the dinner in Macau.
