TID Project Briefing Meeting for HKSQ & HKQAA - Project of Feasibility Study on the Quality Start-up Development

HKSQ proposed project named “Feasibility Study on the Quality of Hong Kong Start-up Development for Supporting the Sustainable Business Growth” and it aimed to enhance the startups quality management awareness and assist their development. So that we would like to study the best practice of startup management system and then published as guidebook and performed some workshop for startups. On 3^rd Mar 2020, Trade and Industry Department (TID) arranged a Project Briefing Meeting and kept signed contract for each other.  Dr. KS Chin and I represented Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) to attend the meeting and we had signed the contract before.  We arrived the Trade and Industry Tower and took a photo for memory. A new Kai Tak MTR station is very close to the tower.

Mr. Adams Wong represented HKQAA to join us and we took a photo during meeting. (For avoiding Coronavirus outbreak, most Hong Kong Citizens wear mask for public activities.)

The briefing reminded us the following items:

-          Budget usage and if any change, need prior written approval.

-          Project account and payment issues

-      Procurement Regulations (e.g. Invite at least 2 written quotations if <$50,000; 5 written quotations if between $50,000 to $1.43M; and tendering if >$1.43M)

-          Hiring of project staff/manpower (NA)

-          Income (NA)

-          Residual funds to be returned to the Government

-          Acknowledge the support from TID for any advertisement and publication

-          Equipment

-          Keep TID informed the project progress

-          Reports and Audited accounts

-          Final Report and Final Audited Accounts

-        Post-Project Evaluation Report (all original questionnaire (hardcopy) should return to TID), etc.

P.S. I submitted the signed contract on 17 Feb 2020.
