Minda and I attended the “2025 Taoist Celebration of the
76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the 80th
Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against
Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War - Flag Raising Ceremony and
Religious Concert” (2025 道教界慶祝中華人民共和國成立76周年暨紀念中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯勝利80周年 - 升旗典禮暨宗教音樂會) on
28th Oct 2025.
The morning part is flag raising ceremony.
Tai Chi team arrived and we took a group photo with
Master Mr. Andy Law and Mrs. Law.
Start raising the flag and singing the Chinese national
anthem.
Then Taoist priest Mr. Leung (梁德華道長) gave
welcoming speech.
And then Ms. Alice Mak Mei-kuen (麥美娟局長) gave
open guest remark.
The flag was raised by the Hong Kong Army Cadets (香港青少年軍).
The first guest speaker was Taoist priest Mr. Yip
Wing-shing (葉永成道長) and he shared the spirits of
the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist.
He introduced the six main insistences including
leadership, people, high-quality, deep reform, market & governance, as well
as, development and safety.
Finally, he mentioned the 12 key deployments in which I
was most interested in number 2 - New Quality Productive Force.
The second speaker was Taoist priest Mr. Leung (梁德華道長) and
he shared the Feelings of Family and Country.
After that Master Mr. Andy Law led us to have lunch in Police
Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC).
Before lunch, I took a group photo for memory.
After lunch, we came back to enjoy the concert and took a
photo with Master and Ms. Fong.
We met senior cohort Mr. Henry Wong (王廣漢師兄) and Taoist
priest Mr. Tsang (曾忠南道長) and took a photo for memory.
Before starting the concert, the representative of supporting
organizations took a group photo.
Islamic Dharwood Pau Memorial Primary School Choir Team
performed a song.
The second performance was by Catholic Diocese of Hong
Kong including tenor and soprano (男高音和女高音).
Buddhist Wing Yan School (佛教榮茵學校) singing
group was the third performance team.
And then a music performed by Hong Kong Taoist Orchestra
(香港道樂團).
Another song named “The Jade Emperor praised” (玉皇大讚).
After that the Confucian Academy recited the Hymn to
Confucius (孔聖頌).
The final performance of Guqin (古琴) was performed by Professor
Xu Lingzi (許菱子教授) and she is China's national
first-class performer.
