The First Programme Committee Meeting for ENGDEM, 2022-23

I represented CityU EngD Society to join the 1^st Programme Committee meeting on 6th Jun 2023. Before the meeting, I selfie with EngD cohorts and other participants. 

Firstly, Dr. Alan Chan (Programme Director) gave welcome speech to all EngD cohorts and reminded the change of department name to be Systems Engineering effective in May 2023. Dr. Sun is also attended online.

The agenda we discussed as below.

1.     Confirmation of minutes of the last meeting

2.     Matters arising from the minutes

3.     New cohort of ENGDEM, 2022 

4.     Monitoring of the ENGDEM project progress

5.     Admission exercise 2023-24, intake number

6.     EngD Seminar

7.     Report of Departmental Academic Advisor

8.     Report of JSSCC

9.     The EngD Society

10.   AOB 

Lastly, I introduced CityU EngD Society to all participants. Firstly, I briefed our objectives and goals. Society has established after residential workshop in 2004. Then I shared some past activities including seminar, enterprises visit, graduation dinner.

We also supported CityU different activities such as HK TECH 300. At the end, the society suggested to increase admission and promotion to industry, as well as, co-supervisor/mentor by EngD cohorts to enhance the departments’ resource.
