CityU Alumni & CES Webinar for Investment Talk

 CityU Alumni Webinar for Investment Talk was organized by CityU, Convocation and CityU Eminence Society (CES) on 10th Nov 2020.  Ms. Agnes Wu and Mr. Ken Lo were invited as guest speaker.
 

Mr. Robert Lui was webinar moderator.


Ms. Agnes Wu was the first speaker and her topic named “New normal in politics and economy, what smart money to buy? (政經新常態, 聰明錢點買?)”  One of important factors was pandemic control. 


She reviewed the global public debt between developed and developing countries. 


Finally, Ms. Agnes Wu reminded that to consider the new policy of China focused industries including PV, Military, 3rd generation of semiconductor, new energy car and biomedical industry.  Lastly, she said that clean energy sector could be considered in future.


The second speaker was Mr. Ken Lo and his topic named “Future Development of Virtual Assets and Security Token Offering”.  He said some existing assets were not able to be invested (e.g. IPO) that technology such as blockchain could be employed to realize its value for investment. 


After that he said many countries recognized the Securities (證券).  Using Blockchain can enhance the trust on the value of assets.  Finally he also discussed the digital currency.
