I was honour to be invited to attend the Engineers Gathering for Ir. Dr. Lo Wai Kwok election kickoff meeting of 2016 Legislative Council Election Functional Consitituency (Engineering) on 20th August 2016. I knew Dr. WK Lo through Dr. Aaron Tong (Former Chairman, HKSQ) and my first impression was in TQM’s leaflet about their photo for achieving HKIA Quality and Productivity Awards. I joined Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) since 1997. I found that Ir. Dr. WK Lo was our founding member and the Chairman’s report (1992/1993) had congratulation statement “Congratulations to our past Committee member, Mr. W.K. Lo for his double achievements in last year - the Young Industrialist Award and the Outstanding Young Person of 1992.” I took photo with Dr. Lo in the beginning of the gathering for memory.
I met many friends and took some of them for memory.Mr. Harry Li (Past President, The Institute of Industrial Engineers (Hong Kong) - IIE(HK))
My old boss Ir. SW Cheung (Former VP, Business Development and Technology Support, HKSTP)
My EngD Supervisor Dr. K.S. Chin also came to support Ir. Dr. WK Lo.
Our former Chairman Dr. Aaron Tong took a photo with Dr. Lo.
Moreover, I also met Ir. Prof. Peter K.W. Mok (Former Chairman of HKQAA) and Ir C.S. Ho (Deputy Chairman, HKQAA). In addition, Dr. Jason Kong (Vice Chairman, ISSC) and Prof. Philip Chan (Advisor, ISSC) were also presented. Dr. Jackson Tang (HKIE), Mr. SL Mak (HKIE), and many HKIE-MIE previous chairmen were participated this meeting.
The second one was Dr. Raymond HO Chung-ta (Previous Legco member) who was the first one sign the supporting for Dr. WK Lo for this election.
Ir. SS Lee (previous CEO, HKSTP) was also support to Dr. Lo and gave a speech. He was previous Chairman of the Construction Industry Council.
Others senior professionals were invited to give speech for supporting Ir. Dr. WK Lo on coming election. One of speakers was Dr. Lo’s F5 teacher!! (They knew each other more than 40 years.)
The last two speakers were Ir. Dr. WK Lo’s election officers.
Then Ir. Dr. WK Lo briefed his election vision, mission and his past efforts.
There were three hundred engineers joined and my observed society included HKIE, HKSQ, IET, IIE, ISSC and other Construction related associations.
Dr. Lo kept his first election banner and demonstrated in here again!
Young Engineers supported Dr. Lo in four years ago and come back to present what they observed Dr. Lo’s work.
The group photo of supporters was taken at the end. I would like to invite every Engineer who was HKIE members to support Ir. Dr. WK Lo.
