ASQ InfVoices - Quality Solutions in Unexpected Places

The March Topic of ASQ Influential Voice in Chinese named "Quality Solutions in Unexpected Places" by Paul Borawski (CEO, ASQ). Paul discussed to two ASQ Influential Voice bloggers wrote about some quality solutions or tools employed in unexpected places.

Recently, HKSQ arranged a seminar about Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in which the voice of customer (VOC) was the significant elements (See reference). Then I thought that why people addicted to Candy Crush? How this game satisfied most of people in the world?

Social media world is changing quickly (like Angry Birds, less people talking about it recently but Candy Crush) and it has a lot of elements that are intrinsically gamelike. The acquiring of friends and the receiving of "likes", "pluses" or "thumbs-up" are microrewards. Therefore, Candy Crush plus Facebook formed strong social media platforms that allows users to establish relationship, possess attributes and perform activities in the online world.

During the game, you will know your friends progress and sometime you need friends help each other (e.g.send a life or unlock the level), moreover, it appears a virtual competition in term of marks or levels. Do QFD table convert this demanded qualities into quality items in others product?
