CES Chairman and Work Group meeting with New Director of KTO, CityU

The 5th Exco Inauguration Ceremony of CityU Eminence Society (CES), our chairman Mr. Weeky Wong (CEO & Vice Chairman, Tai Sing Industrial Company Ltd.) arranged a meeting with Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) especially to meet Ms. Tricia Chong (Director of Knowledge Transfer) with University Collaborative Project work group members to continue our previous discussion for enhancing alumni relation with new and innovation projects.

We discussed different directions below.

i) Weeky would like to employ CES resource (including funding and experts) to assist CityU R&D and student ideas for commercialization. CK added that we were not only to sponsor students but also culturate them to be entrepreneur.

ii) Weeky’s key idea is to help CityU and create some successful story of interaction with Alumni.

iii) Ms. Tricia Chong briefed her idea that KTO aims to drive technology development in CityU and thinking about KTO Trademark. The primary objective of KTO is to build up IPs and then we need to innovate what the next such as licensing or others.

iv) Mr. Tomson Lee suggested some business model between CES and student projects so as to make it sustainable.

CES expected to assist KTO to incubate more entrepreneurs and transfer Research Lab R&D into market for enhancing technology development in Hong Kong. Lastly, we took group photo again.
