The MCs introduced the agenda of ISSC Six Sigma Networking Night 2012.

In the beginning, Dr. Rita Wan introduced the ISSC and reviewed the activities in 2011. The ISSC is a non-profit making organization of quality practitioners and subject matter experts that saw the need for standardization in the Six Sigma field. Moreover, ISSC mission is to promote best practice and standards in all areas of Six Sigma and Quality fields.

Then the principle of ISSC building blocks was introduced. ISSC professional members had 3x CSSMBB, 15x CSSBB, 515x CSSGB and 34x Certified Lean Leader (CLL).

Moreover, ISSC was selected to be one of the Hong Kong’s Most Valuable Companies 2011 by Mediazone’s Magazine.

Mr. Andrew Parker-Huges (HSBC Global Markets Operations) was tonight guest speaker and his topic entitled "Business Optimization - Deployment of Continuous Process Improvement to APAC".

The mission of his team is to create an environment where continuous process improvement is coded into the culture of operations. Mr. Andrew Parker-Huges decided to go to Hong Kong because HSBC was a green field (no six sigma) and he planned to build a strong house of continuous process improvement. The following house is his Business Optimization Strategy.

He used yellow belts to activate many small and rapid improvement projects (RIP). It was only one day training to give a experience of process change and improvement to participants. Andrew also mentioned that the cash cow was very important to express the benefit to top management. (Every course must have a cash return.)

Andrew showed different examples for continuous improvement in technology, people and process.

The ISSC committee members and VIPs took a group photo.

Ir. Prof. Philip Chan (Arbitrator – Guangzhou Arbitration Commission) donated his book entitled "Continuous Self-Improvement Spirals Towards World Class Organization Secret" for lucky draw.

I brought Prof. Chan's book with his signature.
