The first speaker was Mr. Uran Choy (Business Development Manager, Towngas Telecommunications Company Limited) and his topic entitled “Into the CLOUD, HOW?”
Few people knew Towngas had telecommunications services. The following diagram introduced the relation among Towngas and TGT.
Then Mr. Choy asked “What CLOUD is it?” He used five words to describe the meaning and they were “Compute Resources Deliver Via Network”. It induced 5 key tips for selecting Cloud Services Provider.
i) Need – To Scale, To respond quickly, To shift risk and cost, To support an emerging company with minimum IT investment
ii) Value – Shit CAPEX to OPEX and release staff for high-value mission project
iii) Defense – 3rd Parties Compliance Audit and built TRUST
iv) Reputation – Size, Services and Experiences
v) Competence – TIA level, ISO 27001, CSA STAR, etc.
Finally, Mr. Choy introduced their cloud service provider named “Aliyun.com (阿里云)”. Then they joined together “Aliyun + TGT” to provide Cloud Computing service and named “ACT Cloud Services” which included Elastic Compute Service (ECS), Server Load Balancer (SLB), Relational Database Service (RDS) and Open Storage Service (OSS).
The second speaker was Mr. Stephen Kwok (VP, Worldwide Sales, Deltapath) and his topic named “Deltapath vicruit™ video-enabled talent acquisition solutions”. Their product aimed using Video to Win the War for Talent.
Human Capital Management video-enabled processes included Talent Acquisition, On-Boarding, Performance Management, Flexible Working and Learning & Development. Moreover, video interviewing is a blessing for recruiters and organizations that care about candidate experience. Finally, Mr. Kwok demonstrated how easy the interview online using their product through cloud computing.

The last speaker was Mr. Kyle Liu (Talent Solution Specialist, LinkedIn) and his presentation was “Social Recruiting with LinkedIn”. He said LinkedIn had grown tremendously in the past few year from >100M member in July 2011 to >330M members in Nov 2014.
He said business and HR leaders across industries around the world shared the same challenge that was very difficult in today’s world to recruit top talents. Since individuals used LinkedIn to better themselves as a professional, companies were able to use LinkedIn as an effective and efficient HR tool. It achieved to increase Quality, Quantity but decrease Time and Cost.
One special feature was Job opportunities automatically matching in the use of LinkedIn technology. At the end, Mr. Kyle Liu used slide “are you In?” as closing. I like this sentence.
