Visit PolyU Design Show 2026 in Father's Day

The PolyU Design Show 2026 started from 5 Jun to 7 Aug 2026 in Jockey Club Innovation Tower. Today is the Father’s Day, I visited the Show and then had lunch with Father-in-law family on 21 Jun 2026.

The Show as a key highlight of Hong Kong’s creative calendar brings together works by nearly 400 students from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes of PolyU Design. This year, the Show features capstone projects for advanced works from interdisciplinary taught postgraduate programmes, real client collaborations, and Integrated Designpreneurship projects including commercial realities, community needs, and pressing environmental, economic, and social challenges.

Upon entering the main entrance, you will see a design exhibition tour.

The BA(Hons) Scheme in Design program showcases several examples of Work-Integrated Education (WIE).

Some interesting ideas about selling disaster cases.

An interesting product advertisement was played.

Then I went to the 7/F for Product Design.

Many students' creative works were displayed.

Playing pickleball on Mother's Day

On May 10, 2026, we went home to celebrate Mother's Day and booked a pickleball court at “tmtp commons”. We took a group photo before start.

Originally, it is a tennis court and then transferred to pickleball court.

My younger brother Philip is the coach, and my youngest brother Roger plays with him.

And the Philip trained us together.

Overall view of pickleball court and cost $300 per hour during holiday. The court is running by Patrick Lui’s friend – Ethan.

After the training, we took a group photo before left.

We had dinner with mother together. 

The mother’s gift from Huawei and my white wine is a gift by Patrick Lui (I Ching classmate and our pickleball coach). 

This afternoon, I had lunch with my mother-in-law's family.

Drama_Zhang Juzhen in Xiqu Centre (戲曲中心-張居正)

Minda and I went to Xiqu Centre in westk (戲曲中心 - 西九文化區) to see the drama named Zhang Juzhen (張居正) on 12^th Apr 2023. The drama was performed by Beijing People's Art Theatre (北京人民藝術劇院). It is my first time to see drama in Xiqu Centre. 

We took a photo inside the hall.

It seems not big.

The person in the middle is Zhang Juzhen.

Finally, all the artists expressed their gratitude to the audience.

CNY Family Gathering in Guangzhou 2026

On March 1, 2026, we went to Guangzhou to celebrate the Spring Festival and have Chinese New Year dinner with our family. We took the high-speed train from Shenzhen Station and arrived at Guangzhou East Station at 11:00am. 

Uncle and Aunty booked a table in our hotel for lunch together.

Afterwards, we went to Chunyang Temple (純陽觀) to hold a memorial ceremony for our grandparents.

I found my grandparents photo for memory.

It shows an old family photo taken in 1974.

When we left, we passed the Siqin Pavilion (思親亭).

The words "The Way of Nature" are carved on the stone.

The dinner would be held in the “LUMINA (星寰)”.

I selfie with my wife and brother.

Then we took a group photo in the platform.

Minda’s brother worked in Henderson and it is the Henderson Land Group 50^th anniversary.

My mother took a photo with her sisters and brother.

During dinner, I took a photo with my cousins.

The seventh uncle (七姨丈) brough his collection of Moutai (茅台). It is very special and only 38%!

We drunk it with uncle.

Also ask our cousins to try it.

It is very happy gathering.

At then end, we took a group photo outside the restaurant.

During the Spring Festival, my cousin (彬彬) used AI technology to bring old photos to life.

In this morning, we took a train back to Hong Kong.

Family Gathering for Ne Zha 2 (哪吒2) Film

In March, my mother would like to see Ne Zha 2 and we arranged family gathering for the film on 2^nd Mar 2025. We saw the film in Tuen Mun cinema. Ne Zha 2 earns HK$5.6 million on first day in Hong Kong!

The cinema is mini one and smaller than my expectation because I haven’t seen the film in cinema for long time.

It is a very good film and achieved international level.
