WHX Labs Dubai 2026 (Back Home)

On 16 February, we had early breakfast in hotel at 6:00am. 

The organizers at WHX Labs arranged for a car to pick us up and take us to the airport.

We selfie insider the car.

There are many special buildings design in Dubai.

The sunrise was seen.

We arrived the Dubai International Airport.

Then we took a photo in front of the entry.

We queue in the self-service baggage drop. You need to arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure to drop your luggage and go through customs.

We saw a lot of Chinese New Year decorations in the airport shopping mall.

2026 is the Year of the Horse.

Camel milk chocolate decorations are very interesting.

Finally, we reached the boarding gate and returned to Hong Kong.

We took a photo with the Emirates plane when we boarded.

Coming back to Hong Kong!

To keep as a memento, I took a picture of all the souvenirs we brought home.

WHX Labs Dubai 2026 (Post-Conference visit – Day 3)

 On 15 February 2026, we planned to visit Dubai Frame and Gold Market.

    

Dubai's metro stations are well-designed.

As we passed through the residential area, Minda was swinging on a swing.

Then we arrived the Dubai Frame.

I took a picture and wanted to touch the frame.

Minda and I took a photo under the Dubai Frame.

The lighting design inside Sharaf DG station (G25) is very beautiful.

And then we visited the local market inside Al Fahidi Souq.

As we walked toward the Dubai Museum, we saw many people queuing up with offerings for worship.

We took a photo for memory.

Minda took a photo in front of the beautifully designed tableware.

After that we had lunch near the Abra boat pier.

Afterwards, we took a boat to the other side, which cost only 1 dirham (AED) per person.

We took a photo of Abra boats. 

Finally, we arrived at the Gold Souq. This is Dubai's old town.

In the evening, we returned to the city to visit the Burj Khalifa.

Minda and I took a photo with the Burj Khalifa.

Afterwards, we visited the Dubai Fountain. The fountain is open from 6 pm to 11 pm, with a 3-minute show every half hour.

We took a photo in front of a famous Chinese restaurant “Din Tai Fung”.

Then we went back to Dubai Mall and saw a large ice rink.

Visitors can enjoy the views from the outside of the Dubai Aquarium.

Dubai Mall, also known as the home of the Dubai shopping festival, is one of the world's largest shopping malls in UAE. The decorations are absolutely luxurious!

Lastly, we visited the Burj Khalifa again to enjoy the night view.

The night view of the whole street is very beautiful.

I saw the Chocolate Academy and took a photo for memory and then went back to hotel.

WHX Labs Dubai 2026 (Post-Conference visit – Day 2)

On 14 February 2026, we planned to visit Dubai Aquarium. Firstly, we had breakfast in the hotel.

Today is Valentine's Day, and the hotel garden is full of flowers. We took a picture to remember the occasion.

Then we took the metro to Dubai Mall station (R25). The Dubai Aquarium is located inside the mall.

We took a close-up photo with the fish.

There is a transparent tunnel inside the aquarium, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the aquatic world.

We took a picture with the shark.

The second layer is a tropical rainforest.

Then we had lunch at the food court in the mall.

And then we visited the large bookstore named “Kinokuniya” and with Chinese name “伊甸園屋書店”.

After that we come back to hotel first and took a photo in front of Dubai Metro logo.

We saw the building with their kings.

In evening, we joined the “Inside Burj Al Arab” tour.

The sunset was beautiful!

Minda and I took a photo in front of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel.

Then we toured the luxury rooms on the 25th floor of the hotel. They cost USD 54,000 per night!

I took a picture at the grandness staircase.

When we left, we saw Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The night view from the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is beautiful.

Finally, we had dinner at Sardina Seafood Restaurant, which is located opposite the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

When the seafood ready, we took a photo for memory.

This was a very delicious dinner!
