HKSQ Strategy Meeting 2020

 Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) annual strategy meeting 2020 was held on 26^th Dec 2020.  The meeting aims to review the HKSQ directions in the coming year and activities included seminar, technical visit, study mission, etc. Since Covid-19 pandemic, we held the meeting online.  Firstly, we took a group photo for memory.

In the beginning, we reviewed HKSQ activities based on OKR (Objective Key Results) in 2019 and found that many activities were cancelled because of Covid-19 pandemic. 

Then we discussed the coming World Summit for Chinese Quality (WSCQ) from pre-World Alliance for Chinese Quality (pre-WACQ) in 2020 and we suggested to hold in CityU in Jun 2021.

After that I introduced a new strategy framework which based on ISO DIS 37000 – Guidance for the governance of organizations.  In AOB, HKSQ duties distribution list was reviewed.

Finally, we discussed the coming activity plan.  Some suggestions were recorded below.

i)                    Send to member for the coming half year activities rather online or both onsite & online.

ii)                  Arrange webinar such as intelligent manufacturing, IEEE P2668 IoT Maturity Index, ISO CD 56001, etc.

iii)                WSCQ topic could be “Post Covid-19 Era” or “Intelligent Era”.

iv)                Explore online workshop for HKSQ BOK course

Hopefully, we would overcome this period and waiting for back to normal life.
