Pre-ANQ Congress 2019 visit to University in Songkla, Thailand and Congress Registration

Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) Congress 2019 was held in The Berkeley Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand from 21-25 Oct 2019. The congress theme was “Quality Innovation for Sustainability”.  Before the Congress, we went to Songkla City which was in the south of Thailand.  Minda and I started the trip from Hong Kong to Bangkok and then transited to Hat Yai (Suvamabhumi International Airport).

Minda’s Warwick flatmate Ms. Enjoy and her husband Mr. Bic arranged us to the BP Samila Beach Hotel from airport.  We had dinner in Hat Yai.  We had visited Laos together to see their classmate Mr. Khamphone in 2016. (See reference)

I had beer with Bic. I had beer with Bic. It was interested that half cup with ice for cooling the beer.

Then we went to the hotel and took a photo for memory.

Pre-ANQ visit to the Prince of Songkla University (21 Oct 2019)

On 21 Oct 2019, we visited the Prince of Songkla University which Enjoy taught in the Faculty of Law.  The main name of the university we took at night when we passed.

Arrived the Law building, we all took a group photo in front of the Faculty of Law.

Dr. KS Chin and I also selfie here.

We passed the President’s Office Building.  

Faculty of Science.

I took a photo in the Science area.

We also went to the Faculty of Engineer.

Lastly, I took a photo in front of Science and Technology Building and I found they got ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation.  

In the campus, they had a market and opened every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Minda was interested on some fruit and vegetable.

There was large and many different types of food included fresh and cooked.  

We tried the fired fish and it was very good taste. 

Pre-ANQ visit of Songkla City (21 Oct 2019)

Then we visited Songkla City and old town.  Minda and I took a photo in the breach outside our hotel.

The breach wide view is very beautiful.

We arrived the Songkla City and took a group photo.

We also saw Kaonoi Palace.

Opposite the palace, it is Enjoy’s English teacher and his school.

In the old town, we had tried the special ice-cream with egg yolk (Yew's Egg Yolk Ice Cream)

Then we entered to Chenghuang Temple (城隍廟)

Minda and Mrs. Chin took a photo under the performance platform in which was local food shop.

And then Minda and I took a photo in the Chinese school. 

We saw a beautiful cat with four white foot. (In Chinese named four foot on snow - 四腳踏雪)

Then we visited the old memory house with different Chinese porcelain.

There were many traditional drawing on the wall.

At night, we had a sea food dinner in Chongkhao Seafoods Restaurant.

Then we selected different sea foods.

Lastly, we enjoyed the special fruit shape ice-cream.

Minda selected the Durian Ice-cream (榴槤).

Back to Bangkok and ANQ Congress registration (22 Oct 2019)

Enjoy arranged his friend to drive us from hotel to airport. And we met in airport to take a photo for memory.

Minda and I took a photo with Enjoy in front of Custom gate. 

We arrived Bangkok and then went to The Berkeley Hotel.

Firstly, we went to the registration room.

We took a photo with Prof. Thanakom Soontarnchainacksaeng (SQAT).

We also took a photo with Ms. Naiyana Niyomwan (VP, SQAT).

After registration, we had dinner together.

When we come back to hotel, we visited the venue and took a photo with World Map flag which was made by Prof. Phulporn. 

Minda and I took a photo in front of the ANQ Congress stage.

At the end, we tried to reserve two seats for tomorrow.
