The Asia Network for Quality (ANQ) Board Meeting and
General Meeting was performed on 25th Oct 2022. I on behalf of HKSQ
joined the board meeting as observer. Firstly, determining the quorum.
Then Dr. Duan Yonggang (Vice-chairman, CAQ) gave welcome
address. He said ANQ formed since 2002 in Beijing and it is 20 years. Dr. Duan
would like to invite all to go to Beijing face to face in future.
And then Prof. Shin Wan Seon (Chairman, ANQ) gave an
opening address. He appreciated CAQ to organize the congress and all
contributors.
Finally, Prof. N. Kano (Honor Chairman, ANQ) gave
welcome address. He congratulates ANQ 20th anniversary. It was
formed Nov 2002 in Tokyo and now had 20 organization members. He said Asia is
not only provided product and service to the world, but also to be center of
development.
Confirmation of last meeting minutes, Dr. Matt Shin (KSQM)
discussed the next chair organization and the further meetings and congresses.
After that Prof. Shu Yamada (ANQ finance) reported the
overall financial situation.
Finally, Mr. GE Tan (SQI) reported the ANQ Recognition
for Excellence in Quality Promotion (ARE-QP) awards. And he will add a session
to introduce Asia Service Award (ASQ) before ARE-QP in the Congress.
Lastly, Dr. Ngo Van Nhon and his colleague introduced the
next congress in Vietnam. The suggested congress theme was “Biggest Trends will
Collide and Reshape the Future of Quality”.
Before the end of the meeting, we took a group photo
for memory.
