ISO/TC 176 Meeting in Hong Kong – Welcome Reception

Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announce held the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/Technical Committee (TC) 176 (ISO/TC 176) Plenary Meeting in Hong Kong and the Welcome Reception was held on 23rd November 2015 in Hong Kong Science Park. ISO/TC 176 is Technical Committee 176 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which is responsible for Quality Management and Quality Assurance through the implementation of the ISO 9000 family of standards. HKSQ was invited to join the welcome reception. Mr. Peter Fung (Chairman) and I (Former Chairman) were representatives of Hong Kong Society for Quality to attend this event. Firstly, we met TC 176 chairman Dr. Nigel Croft and HKQAA, HKAS friends and we took a group photo for memory.

Before the ceremony, we met Prof. Hoi Shan KWAN (Professor, School of Life Sciences, CUHK) and Prof. Paul Kwan-sing Lam (Vice-President, CityU).

In the beginning, Ms. Annie Choi, JP, (Commissioner for Innovation and Technology) gave a welcome speech to all participants for ISO/TC 176 Meeting.

Then all representatives gave the toast to all attendees.

After that lion dancing performance was prepared and many guests took a photo with it.

At the end of performance, all lions showed “Welcome to Hong Kong”.

I met Mr. Howie Ng who is member of ISO/TC 176 and founder of Hong Kong Veritas Limited.

I also met Mr. Felix Chan (HKTIC Chairman) and Mr. Kesson LEE (Secretary-General, HKCTC) and took a photo for memory.
