Today, members of Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) and students of Biology and Chemistry (BCH) dept., City University of Hong Kong visited laboratories of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP). The visit aims to introduce the quality management for laboratories under Technology Support Centre (TSC) of HKSTP.
In the beginning, the background of HKSTP and the certifications development of TSC were briefed. Until now, we achieved the certification of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001 (HKQAA) and the accreditation of ISO 17025 (HOKLAS & CNAS).
The first laboratory we visited was Probe and Test Development Centre. All testers run in the cleanroom. We took a group photo in front of the centre.
Then we visited the Wireless Communication Test Lab and the shield room was introduced to the participants. They had tried to stay inside the shield and found the mobile without signal.
Reliability laboratory was visited. Different chambers and reliability tests were mentioned.
Solid State Lighting Laboratory (under Material Analysis Laboratory) was introduced and dark room environment was explained.
IC Failure Analysis Laboratory's testing was briefed. One of equipment was employed the lens technology from Harvard Optical Telescope.
Scanning Acoustic Microscope and Atomic Force Microscope were also briefed.
After that we took a group photo in front of the Charles K. Kao Auditorium (Golden Egg).
And we went inside the auditorium.
The speaker room had a very good view.
The last visiting location was Biotechnology Support Laboratory. We visited the shared laboratory facility and culture room.
At the end, we took a group photo in front of Biotech SME Centre.
