Gong Bath Practice for I Ching classmates

 Our classmate “Zoie” of I Ching and the Study of Knowing People performed a practice workshop of Gong Bath to us. Patrick Ng, Karen, Cindy, Minda and I joined the practice together on 22^nd Nov 2025. Gong Bath (銅鑼浴) is a sound therapy experience where participants lie down and relax, listening to the rich sound waves and vibrations produced by striking a gong. It uses the sound of the gong to help participants enter a state of deep relaxation, promote meditation, release stress, reduce tension, and may stimulate blood circulation and improve overall physical and mental well-being.

At the beginning, Zoie prepared the venue, and we set up a place for people to lie down and relax.

Minda and I took a photo for memory.

Partick and Karen had ready.

Cindy had already sat down and was waiting quietly.

Zoie demonstrated the sound of Gong.

And also showed the bowl sound.

After 1hr relaxation, we completed the practice. Minda and I took a photo with the Gong at the end.

Finally, we had dinner together at my home and discussed various topics related to gong bathing and meditation. We had a very pleasant evening.

ACP in Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit

ActiveCarePharmacy Limited (ACP) participated in the Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (樂齡科技博覽暨高峰會2025) from 20^th to 23^rd Nov 2025. I visit the Expo for supporting ACP on 21^st Nov 2025.

Firstly, I visited the ACP booth and took a photo with Ms. Wendy Mui and staff of ACP.

They promoted their service on coming Community Pharmacy (社區藥房) policy.

Mr. Matthew Tsui visited the booth in the first day afternoon. Mr. Peter Suen and Ms. Wendy Mui were there.

Wendy is very busy for explaining their service to visitors.

Then I visited the booth of HKSTP and took a photo for memory.

After that I visited EMSD and they had technology for employing in elder care.

I tried out their VR puzzle game.

I took a photo in front of the PolyU’s research for smart ageing.

Many services related to the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). One of my EngD cohorts is advisor of Hong Kong Society for the Aged (SAGE).

Lastly, I observed a humanoid and companion robots. When I took a photo with the robot, it responded with various poses!

FHKI the 3rd Compliance Committee Meeting

I am honor to be Honourable Compliance Advisor in Compliance Committee of FHKI and attended the 3^rd committee meeting on 21^st Nov 2025. We focused on corporate governance and ISO management systems.

Chinese Wisdom Management Seminar – The Wisdom of the Three Kingdoms and the I Ching (中華智慧管理講座：《三國演義》與《易經》的智慧)

 Prof. Pang’s (彭泓基教授) Chinese Wisdom Management Seminar named “The Wisdom of the Three Kingdoms and the I Ching” (中華智慧管理講座：《三國演義》與《易經》的智慧) was held on 18^th Nov 2025 in Hong Kong Central Library. In the beginning, I took a photo with Prof. Pang in the entry.

Minda and I invited our friend Raymond Chan to join this seminar.

Before the seminar, the organizer presented the appreciate certificate to Prof. Pang. 

Firstly, Prof. Pang briefed the I Ching principle and many our classmates attended tonight seminar.

He introduced the background of the Three Kingdoms period and compared the Battle of Guandu (官渡之戰), one of the most important battles of the Three Kingdoms period, with the competition between China and the United States.

He then explained the situation based on the geographical location.

And then he compared the strategists of Yuan Shao and Cao Cao (袁紹及曹操的謀士)

After that Prof. Pang introduced the framework of the Ten Wins and Ten Losses Theory which was proposed by Guo Jia (郭嘉) for Cao Cao (曹操).

During the break, classmates of I Ching (易經) and the Study of Knowing People (知人學) took a group photo for memory.

In the second part of seminar, Prof. Pang described the characteristics of Xi Jinping (China) and Trump (US) and compared their similarities and differences. 

He then concluded that the Battle of Guandu (官渡之戰) was a turning point, indicating that we would face a manageable, protracted war.

Finally, Prof. Pang employed Guo Jia’s Ten Wins and Ten Losses Theory for analyzing Xi Jinping (China) and Trump (US). He concluded that Xi Jinping has an advantage over Trump.

Finally, he cited RAND Corporation reports for 2016, 2018, and 2025, pointing out that the United States will move from a war with China to a stable US-China competition. “China begins openly liberating Taiwan!”

Lastly, Prof. Pang introduced his coming course named Chinese Wisdom Management (中華智慧管理學).

And then Prof. Pang invited his friend Director Lai Man-Cheuk who introduced the "Chinese Dynasties Pavilion" – specifically the section on "The Three Kingdoms".(黎文卓導演介紹「中國王朝風雲館」之《三國風雲》).

PolyU 31st Congregation - FCMS Faculty

 It is my first time to participate the PolyU 31st Congregation – Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FCMS) on 17^th Nov 2025. Dr. Walter Fung and I both hold EngD (CityU), so our academic gowns are different from those of others. This is also the first time I've worn my EngD gown since graduating in 2010.

My colleague Dr. Jeff Tang and I arrived the PolyU Jockey Club Auditorium for preparing the congregation.

We were preparing to enter the auditorium. Jeff and I were at the front of the line, and we were the first to go in.

Some observations in the Congregation as follows: using QR codes to identify students' names and reading their names by category (Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Foreigners). Each student was photographed and videotaped. At the end of the congregation, COMP arranged us to take a group photo with the students outside.

I met my student Mr. Qin Qipeng and took a photo for memory.

He took my course COMP3511 – Legal Aspect and Ethics of Computing. I remember him as a proactive student.

SQCxHKSQ Quality Week Webinar – Quality Innovation – Risk and Opportunity of AIIMS

Saudi Quality Council (SQC) and Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) co-organized Quality Week Webinar named “Quality Innovation – Risk and Opportunity of AI Innovation Management System (AIIMS)”on 13^th Nov 2025. The webinar aims to celebrating the world quality week. 

In the beginning, Dr. Ayed Alamri (President, SQC) introduced SQC and the national quality week events.

He mentioned different activities and services in SQC as well as their e-book library. And then he introduced me to the participants.

I was honor to be SQC guest speaker for quality week webinar and I shared my recently study on AIIMS which also presented in ANQ Congress 2025 in online mode.

Firstly, I mentioned overview of technology crime cases in Hong Kong. AI-enable fraud had been considered recently.

Then I introduced the key standards concerned in AI Innovation Management and they were ISO9001, ISO42001, ISO 56001 and ISO27001. However, ISO42001 and ISO56001 are too new to have certificate data from ISO survey.

And then I used PDCA cycle from ISO9001 to ISO42001.

After that I compared among ISO9001, ISO42001 and ISO56001 clause by clause.

Moreover, extenics and extension innovation method were also introduced.

Finally, the conceptual framework of AI Innovation Management System (AIIMS) was proposed that separated into specific requirement in organization level, PDCA for common requirement and Risks & Opportunities Management in system or operations level.

The summary of common risks and opportunities in different management system under AIIMS were discussed. AI risks identified can be transferred to Innovation opportunities.

The 20 steps implementation of AIIMS was proposed.

Lastly, Huawei proposed strategy as case study that they fulfilled both China’s mandatory national standards (GB/T) and matching ISO international standards.

Using Risks & Opportunities Management, Huawei-specific risks and opportunities were identified.

My conclusion is to integrate AI governance, innovation management, information security under QMS backbone ISO9001 that can transform regulatory compliance into strategic advantage.

I discussed participants survey for autonomous car dilemma. It was very different compared with my students. Most students was selected don’t turn because they don’t want to take responsibility.

I also demonstrated my students group project presentation that they actually used my photo and voice to introduce their project! AI-assisted scams will be more popular.

At the end, Dr. Ayed thanks my contribution and recognized me with the council’s appreciation medal.

As well as, presented the appreciation certificate to me online. Then I congratulated Dr. Ayed and SQC to be member of Asia Network for Quality (ANQ).
