Today
is the last day of Prof. Way KUO serviced in CityU for 15 years. Prof. Way KUO New
Book Sharing Seminar entitled The Absence of Soulware in Higher Education (郭位校長新書分享會 ─ 高等教育的心盲 : 近五年全球及台灣、香港、中國大陸高等教育發生了哪些巨變? 各有何優勢及缺失?) that was held on 12th May 2023 in Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). CityU Eminence Society members
took a group photo with Prof. Way KUO for memory.

Before
the seminar, I got the signature in the new book by President and took a photo
for memory. I remembered I had also got his signature for previous book named “高等教育的心件” in 2016.

All
guests are standby and Mr. Simon Hui is one of guest speakers.
Firstly,
MC presented souvenir to Prof. Way KUO.
Then
President introduced his book content.
After
that a video was played and there are many participants in the hall.
全球高等教育有何值得相互借鑑之處?全球化下的大學面臨哪些困境與危機?
In
the video, Prof. Way KUO briefed the wisdom three pillars to support Soulware
in Higher Education.
Ms.
Vanessa Natalie Wong (王蘊妮) gave her speech through video and she had experienced
that matching President’s book and recognized the quality is more important than
quantity.
Then
Mr. Simon Hui shared his experience in CityU since 1988 and discussed with
President about education and how to improve CityU in future. Mr. Simon said
Prof. Way KUO turned a new car to racing car.
Finally,
all guests took a group photo with Prof. Way KUO with his new book.
Then
many young participants queued under the stage and waiting President signing
their books. I am lucky to sign in the beginning of the seminar.
Then
YC, Vincent and I visited the exhibition for food and beverage in HKCEC.
It
is perfect matching that tea after the seminar.

As one of the alumni who studied and graduated while Professor Way Kuo served as the president. I hope people will remember his effort and contribution to society. Thank you.
