HKIE Seminar for 17 UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development (HiESD) of UNESCO Hong Kong Association co-organized a seminar on “How Engineering Professionals Promote the 17 SDGs” on 7 January 2022. The Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) is the supporting organization.

Prof. Ir. Dr Gryphon SOU, associate VP of UNESCO HK and Prof. Ir Dr Aaron TONG, former chairman of HKSQ and HKIE-MIS division, shared lots of insights on sustainable development and how engineering supports sustainability in terms of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We do believe that Engineers will need to play an important role in making them happen by leveraging existing and widely deployed technologies and future developments to provide the tools for integrated solutions for sustainable development.
