Then Prof. Tan shared his feeling that he proud to be part of Change in China.  In National Level Strategy, Innovation and Technology Centres planned to locate in Beijing and Shanghai.  However, it would be built another one in South China under Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area.  He said FHKI had significant contribution on linking up Mainland China and Hong Kong.

During Q&A, one of guests was Prof. Tan’s classmate (Peter) brother Prof. Paul Cheung (HKU) clarified the funding from ITF and from China.  Some limitations of ITF still existed but it could be used for some cooperation projects. Paul pointed out Hong Kong R&D problem was no significant problem to be researched. We needed to join China’s R&D so as to solve big and significant problem.

Lady asked the clean energy requirement would increase their textile industry operation cost.  Prof. Tan suggested employing innovation and technology to enhance the overall productivity so as to cover such green energy cost.

One of good suggestion from HKPC was to build Hong Kong and Shenzhen cooperation State Key Laboratory in the Bay Area.
Finally, Prof. Tan shared the technology transfer path as follows:
Science (HK) Technology (SZ) Production (Pearl River Delta) Market (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area / China / OBOR)
