Visit to Laos – Day 1

My wife and I went to visit her classmates in Warwick University (studied 16 years ago) from 5 to 8 Nov 2016.  We arrived in the Wattay International Airport on 5 Nov 2016 (Saturday afternoon).

My wife’s friend went to airport to drive us to go to the hotel.  They took a photo together for memory. (Left: Khamphone (Laos), Enjoy (Thailand) and Minda (Hong Kong))

Then Khamphone drove us to go to the hotel named “Thavisouk Hotel and Resort” and it needed to drive for 3 hours from airport.  It seemed in the rural area.

We had a rest in the oil station.

Our luggage placed in the back of the car.

Then we tasted the local coffee named “Sinouk Coffee”. 

In the rural area, the toilet flushing system was so nature.

We met many wedding banquets (3 times along the road we passed).  I thought it was a good day for wedding.

We arrived in the hotel at night.

Very beautiful and large room!  We stayed here for two night and only cost HK$300 per night. (Very economic!!)

I collected a set of Laos currency named “Kip”.

$100 Hong Kong dollar is equal to Laos Kip $100,000.

After settled, we went outside for hotpot (Laos style).

We used the fat to wax the surface for roasting meat.
