HKSQ Strategy Meeting 2016

Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) annual strategy meeting was held on 3^rd Sep 2016 in CityU.  The meeting aims to plan different activities included seminar, technical visit, study mission and other related activities.  In the beginning, our chairman Mr. Peter Fung prepared agenda and explained the meeting objectives as follows:

1.      Review last year performance

2.      Discuss present situation

3.      Set this year strategic goals

4.      Plan for next year action programs and items

Then he introduced HKSQ milestones in past 30 years to new co-op members.  Aaron added the meeting aimed to i) calibration of direction and ii) follow old practice or add new actions.

After that we analyzed HKSQ value proposition.  During discussion, we were talking about Quality and Innovation.  Aaron said Quality was coming to turning point.  Past Quality focused on reducing variation but Innovation indicated changing.  KS said it related to “Rate of Change”. I added CAQ had just launch Quality Innovation Award. 

After break, we studied the SWOT for HKSQ internal and external environment.  We discussed and pointed out some opportunities and must-do items.  We used the following diagram “Project Prioritization” to rank which item with higher priority.

Finally, we confirmed seven activities with priority would be performed in coming year.

At the end, we took a group photos for memory.
