The Engaging Ceremony was to celebrate the first batch of 22 new tenants admitting into Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3 (May 2014) which was held on 9 Jan 2014. The event aimed to provide a platform for our new partners to network with their counterparts at Hong Kong Science Park and to demonstrate their products and services.

Some many participants attended pre-event reception and mini exhibition.

In the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Allen Ma (CEO, HKSTP) gave a welcome remarks. He said that Science Park Phase 3 was living laboratory for Green and Sustainable development. Moreover, there were 22 industry leaders from Hong Kong, the Mainland, Gemany, USA, Denmark and the UK confirmed that they would be expanding here. In addition, the new Phase 3 would also house the 35,000 sq.ft "Guangdong-Hong Kong Innovation Center".

Miss Janet Wong (Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, ITC, HKSAR) gave use a welcome speech. After that Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Collaboration Agreement for Guangdong-Hong Kong Innovation Center started, strategic partnership signed between Science Park and The People's Government of Shunde (順德). Shunde representative said that the cooperation was in win-win situation (優勢互補,合作共贏。). It would be a showcase that technology industries from Guangdong province, alongside with the state-of-the-art hardware and software support from the Science Park offered.

At the end, the session named "Exchange with CEO" which hosted by Mr. Allen Ma. They shared their start-up experience and how science park help their growth. I summarized some interested points to share as follows.
- Science Park provided a platform for different knowledge and assistant for company growth and development such as legal advice, recruitment of staff, etc.
- It would be an opportunity for re-industrialization back to Hong Kong. (e.g. High value and automation manufacture)
- Start-up like a long run and you would run your Capital, Sweat and Cry. (創業三流:流血、流汗、流淚。)

I met my old friend Mr. Larry Lau (we serviced in KEMA more than ten years ago). He serviced in Sencon (HK) Limited and would move-in to Science Park soon.
