Post - World Summit for Chinese Quality (WSCQ) Technical Visit

The 2^nd World Summit for Chinese Quality (WSCQ) was organized by Pre-World Alliance for Chinese Quality (WACQ) (全球華人品質聯盟(籌)), co-organized by Chinese Society for Quality (CSQ) and Tamkang University (淡江大學) on 16 Nov 2017. The post – WSCQ technical visit was arranged on 17 Nov 2017. It was planned to visit Kenmec Group (廣運集團) and Ko Da Pharmaceutical (科達漢方). In the morning, we were gathered in CSQ office near Taipei station. I took photo with Catherine and Taiwan & Beijing friends.

We waited the bus in CSQ office.

Start to go to Kenmec Group (廣運集團)

Mr. Lu Rui Yan (盧瑞彥) (VP, Kenmec Group (廣運集團)) gave welcome speech and played an introductory video to us.

We all focus on this speech and learn his successful experience.

The overall process flow was discussed.

Different international recognition and certification were stated, as well as, Quality Policy in Kentec.

Then we separated into two teams to visit production line and product demonstration. The machine behind the speaker was voting machine.

Solar panel products included portable and for car were introduced.

We visited their production line.

After that we return to the office and learn Mr. Lu Rui Yan’s vision for the Kenmec group.

Mr. Lu briefed the overall vision which extended to mission, objectives, strategies and values, as well as, the business philosophy.

Finally, Mr. Lu explained their objective deployment and implementation table. It was very logic that started from Objective and then Strategy. Based on strategy, we needed to plan how to achieve. In each plan, we also needed to set different KPIs.

Dr. Duan Yonggang (段永剛) (Chairman, WACQ) presented the appreciated certification to Mr. Lu Rui Yan (盧瑞彥) for Kenmec Group (廣運集團) pioneer of automation.

We then took a group photo under large solar panel.

The second industry we visited was Ko Da Pharmaceutical (科達漢方). Minda and I took a photo in front of the main entry.

And also the office lobby.

In the beginning, Dr. Chen Chao Hsiang (陳兆祥) (GM, Ko Da Pharmaceutical (科達漢方)) introduced the company background to us.

Dr. Duan Yonggang (段永剛) (Chairman, WACQ) and Mr. Liu Li Tsung (劉黎宗) (Chairman, CSQ) presented appreciated certificate and souvenir to Ko Da Pharmaceutical (科達漢方).

Dr. Chen’s presentation named “Innovation way in traditional industry”.

Firstly, he quoted the first lady in China got Nobel prize – Tu YoY o(屠呦呦). She found the Artemisia annua from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Then he said that the business of TCM needed to be Integrity, Scientific and Innovation.

Moreover, the quality of raw material of TCM was a critic problem needed to be solved.

After that we visit their demonstration center to identify the raw material of Chinese Medicine.

We also visited their laboratory which was under ISO 17025.

They also demonstrated their e-medicine pickup system. When the formula of TCM entered, the red lights of that TCM would turn on. If staff picked wrong bottom, the warm was showed when staff scanned the bar code.
